2. To Foster Unity and Belonging: Reinforce a sense of cohesion and shared purpose among members.
3. To Enhance Public Visibility: Ensure that TACS members are easily identifiable during official functions, thereby facilitating engagement with the public and stakeholders.
4. To Uphold Professional Standards: Present a disciplined and dignified image of the Society and its membership.
5. To Encourage Cultural Representation: Visibly reflect the Society’s role in preserving and promoting Tamil arts, language, and heritage.

3. Guidelines for Wearing the Official TACS T-Shirt

3.1. Occasions for Use
• Members are required to wear the official TACS T-shirt during all sanctioned events, including but not limited to cultural programmes, outreach initiatives, official meetings, volunteer activities, and community engagements.
• The T-shirt may also be worn during collaborative events, field visits, and public functions where TACS is represented.

3.2. Standards of Presentation
• The T-shirt must be worn in a clean, presentable, and well-maintained condition at all times.
• Modifications, alterations, or additions to the official design are strictly prohibited unless expressly approved by the Executive Committee.
• It is recommended that the T-shirt be paired with plain and appropriate attire (such as black, navy, or beige trousers/skirts) to maintain uniformity and professionalism.

3.3. Code of Conduct While Wearing the T-Shirt
• Members must conduct themselves with dignity, courtesy, and professionalism while wearing the official attire, as their actions directly reflect on the Society.
• The T-shirt shall not be worn during activities or in contexts that may compromise the reputation, neutrality, or integrity of TACS.
• Members are reminded that the attire symbolises the Society’s mission and values, and they are expected to uphold those principles at all times.

3.4. Ownership, Custody, and Care
• The official T-shirt is issued to members for the sole purpose of official use. It remains the property of TACS and must not be used for personal, commercial, or unrelated activities.
• Members are responsible for maintaining the T-shirt in good condition. Damaged or lost items must be reported to the Secretariat for replacement in accordance with the Society’s policies.

4. Compliance

Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory for all members. Failure to adhere to the standards set out in this policy may result in administrative reminders, revocation of usage privileges, or other measures deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee.

This policy reaffirms the principle that the TACS T-shirt is not merely an article of clothing but a symbol of our collective purpose, identity, and commitment to serving the community with pride, integrity, and unity.
