Ambassador – Duties and Responsibilities
Preamble
In recognition of the importance of cultural advocacy and community engagement, the Society appoints Ambassadors to represent its mission and values. Ambassadors are entrusted with the responsibility to uphold the Society’s reputation, promote its objectives, and inspire the wider community to participate in and support its programmes.
Role of the Ambassador
An Ambassador shall serve as a voluntary representative of the Society in matters relating to arts, culture, and heritage. The Ambassador acts as a bridge between the Society and the community, fostering goodwill, advocacy, and active participation.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Ambassador shall:
1. Representation
• Represent the Society at cultural events, community gatherings, and official functions as invited or designated.
2. Advocacy
• Promote and advocate the mission, vision, and values of the Society to diverse audiences.
3. Outreach and Engagement
• Build relationships with artists, cultural groups, partner organisations, and the community to enhance collaboration.
4. Promotion
• Support the dissemination of information on the Society’s programmes, initiatives, and events through personal networks, media platforms, and public appearances.
5. Support and Participation
• Encourage community involvement, membership, and volunteerism in the Society’s initiatives.
6. Fundraising and Resource Support (where applicable)
• Assist in fundraising efforts by lending presence, credibility, or introductions to potential supporters.
7. Inspiration and Role Model
• Serve as a source of inspiration, promoting cultural pride and appreciation for the arts and heritage within the community.
Term of Appointment
The Ambassador shall serve for a term as determined by the Society, subject to renewal based on mutual agreement and continued commitment to the Society’s mission.
Conduct
The Ambassador shall uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and respect in all engagements, ensuring that the reputation of the Society is maintained at all times.
